This English version is the legally binding text. Translations are for convenience only. See Section 17.
The Service is provided by ABC SM, a registered sole proprietorship (osek murshe) in Israel ("MindMatriq", "we", "us").
Contact: support@mindmatriq.com. Support is by email only; we do not offer telephone support or live chat. We reply to every support email within two business days (Monday to Friday, Israel time). Paid products are sold by Paddle, not by us (see Section 8).
By ticking the consent box on the entry screen, starting a test, saving a result, or buying a report or subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old. We ask for your year of birth before the test; if it indicates you are under 16, the test will not start. If you are between 16 and the age of majority where you live, you confirm that your parent or guardian has agreed to your use of the free Service and that you are not making any purchase without their consent.
You may use the Service only for your own personal, non-commercial self-assessment. Section 6 lists what you may not do.
4.1 MindMatriq is a free online test of logical reasoning with a published methodology. When you finish, you receive a free result. You may optionally buy a detailed report for that session or subscribe to MindMatriq Plus (Section 8).
4.2 MindMatriq is a self-assessment tool, not a clinical or diagnostic assessment. It is not a medical device, a psychological or psychometric evaluation administered by a professional, a diagnosis, a screening tool, or a prediction of health, learning ability, career prospects or anything else about you. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical, psychological, educational or professional advice. If you have concerns about cognition, learning or health, consult a qualified professional.
4.3 Your result reflects performance on one test at one moment and depends on attention, fatigue, device, language and many other factors. Results can vary between sessions. We make no promise that a result is accurate, reliable, or comparable to any other test or "IQ" figure.
4.4 The free result is always free. We will not begin charging for it.
5.1 The Service works without registration. A random cookie (anon_id) identifies your browser. If you want to keep a result or buy a product, you give us an email address, and a link sent to that address is how you access your saved data. Keep that email account secure; anyone with access to it can access your saved results.
5.2 You must give a truthful year of birth. Norms depend on it; a false year of birth produces a meaningless result and corrupts the statistics for everyone.
5.3 Your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. In particular, your pseudonymous answers are used to compute and improve the test's statistical norms; this is the purpose you consent to on the entry screen.
5.4 Founders cohort. The first 400 people to complete the test are marked as the Founders cohort and receive the detailed report for that session free of charge. This is a promotional benefit; it is not transferable and may not be combined with other offers.
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
a) use the Service or any result to hire, screen, evaluate, promote, dismiss, rank or make any decision about any person: employee, candidate, student, applicant, tenant or otherwise. MindMatriq is designed for personal self-assessment only and is not validated for any selection purpose; b) administer the test to another person, or take it on someone else's behalf; c) copy, download, scrape, screenshot for redistribution, reverse-engineer, or reproduce the test items, the item-generation logic, the scoring method as implemented, the norms, the reports, or any other part of the Service beyond what your browser needs to display it; d) publish or share test items or answers, or create "answer keys", guides, or derivative tests; e) use bots, scripts, automation or multiple identities, or otherwise interfere with the integrity of the Service or its statistics; f) attempt to identify other participants, probe the security of the Service, or access data that is not yours; g) misrepresent a MindMatriq result as a clinical, certified or official IQ score, or use our name or marks to suggest endorsement; h) use the Service in any way that is unlawful where you are, or that infringes anyone's rights.
We may suspend or block access, invalidate results, refuse service, and remove data from the norms where we reasonably believe this Section has been breached.
7.1 The Service, including its test items (which are generated by our own algorithms), item-generation methods, scoring and norming methods, reports, text, design, software, name and logo, is owned by ABC SM or its licensors and protected by copyright, database, trade-mark and other laws.
7.2 We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in your browser as intended and to use your own result and report for personal purposes, including sharing your own result image. No other rights are granted.
7.3 Our published methodology is available for review and academic discussion; publication of the methodology does not license reproduction of the items or of the Service.
7.4 If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
8.1 Two paid products may be offered: a Detailed Report for a single completed test session (one-time purchase, currently USD 2.99 or the local equivalent shown at checkout), and MindMatriq Plus, a monthly subscription that includes weekly tests and detailed reports (price shown at checkout). Prices are shown before you pay and include or exclude tax as indicated at checkout.
8.2 Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd (for customers outside the United States) / Paddle.com Inc. (for customers in the United States). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries relating to payment and handles returns. Paddle's Buyer Terms (https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) apply to your purchase, and your contract of sale for the paid product is with Paddle. The licence to use the product, and your use of the Service, remain governed by these Terms.
8.3 Instant delivery and withdrawal. The Detailed Report is digital content that is delivered immediately after payment. Where you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract (for example 14 days in the EU and UK), you will be asked at checkout to expressly agree that delivery begins immediately and to acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. Our voluntary refund policy in the Refund Policy applies in addition.
8.4 Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in self-service via the link in your subscription emails or by contacting support; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you keep access until then. We will notify you by email before any price change takes effect; if you do not agree, cancel before the change applies.
8.5 Paid products are not offered in every country. In particular, no paid products are sold to customers in the Russian Federation; the free test remains available.
8.6 A paid report is a report on your own test session. It has no value or validity for any purpose listed in Section 6(a).
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, add or remove features, items or tests, adjust norms as more data is collected (which may change how a past result is displayed in comparison to others), and update these Terms. Material changes to these Terms will be announced on the Service, and by email to users who have saved an email, at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that date is acceptance. Changes required by law or for security may take effect immediately.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be accurate, reliable, error-free or available at any particular time, or that any result or report is suitable for any purpose other than personal curiosity and self-assessment. Sections 4.2–4.3 form part of this disclaimer.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence, including statutory guarantees that digital content will conform to the contract.
11.1 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive losses, loss of profit, opportunity, employment or reputation, or for any decision made or action taken by you or anyone else in reliance on a result or report.
11.2 For the free Service our total liability to you is limited to USD 100. For paid products our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to Paddle for the product in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for anything that cannot be excluded by the law that applies to you.
If you are not a consumer, you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of Section 6. If you are a consumer, you are responsible for loss you cause us by a breach of Section 6 to the extent required by the law that applies to you.
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice where practicable). Sections 6, 7, 10–12, 15 and 16 survive termination.
The Service relies on Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (email) and Paddle (payments). We are not responsible for those providers' websites or terms, but we remain responsible to you for the Service under these Terms.
15.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and disputes are subject to the courts of Haifa, Israel, except that:
a) if you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil or another country whose law gives you the protection of its mandatory consumer rules and the jurisdiction of its local courts, you keep those rights and may bring or defend proceedings in your home country; b) consumers in the EU may also be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution body available in their country of residence; we are not obliged to and do not participate in alternative dispute resolution unless required by law; c) disputes about payment, billing and refunds are handled under Paddle's Buyer Terms in the first instance.
15.2 Before starting legal proceedings, please contact support@mindmatriq.com; most issues can be resolved quickly.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the Service with notice to you. Notices to you may be given on the Service or by email; notices to us go to support@mindmatriq.com.
These Terms are written in English, which is the legally binding version. Translations are provided for information; if they conflict with the English text, the English text prevails, unless the mandatory consumer law of your country requires the local-language version to be binding (this may apply to consumers in Brazil).
